New York and Paris Fashion Weeks AW 2012....Homage to the Umbrella

It has been so rainy in London these last couple of weeks that I felt like posting these drizzly day photographs. Don't get me wrong, I do love London in the Rain but it is nice to see the sun once in awhile :)

p.s. I have more photographs of Peony (in the top photograph) in that outfit which I will share soon.

  4. Can't believe the lady (3rd pic) still can manage to look so stylish and feminine under the umbrella, under the heavy cold and rain. Just love the pop of colour here. it's so winter but the vibrancy of the colours remind me of spring. so pretty !

  8. @Jessica - isn't the trench coat glorious?! I love the ruffles around the neck (great if you want to emphasise your face and upper body and minimise attention to other bits!)

@Cath- well, I think it was actually snowing in NYC when I took the photo and that is why she had her umbrella up! I stupidly went out without any umbrella....clearly I haven't experienced enough snowy conditions to know that if snow is falling you really should bring an umbrella, especially if you have a camera around your neck!

@Fashion and Frank - I know! I decided to take the day off and go to the Tate Modern to see the Damien Hirst exhibition (well worth the visit even if you aren't a fan of his work/modern art) and it poured on the way there, and after I came out. All very soggy.

@Mica - me too. I rather fancy one of those bright yellow anorak's/ponchos that Aubin & Wills do so well.

@Duck- I know, right?! She just always looks perfect (even when she is at home, wearing no make-up!)
