London Fashion Week AW 2012/2013

Somerset House, London, February 2012.

Recreate her look (kind of):

There is (almost) nothing more comforting than wrapping yourself in an oversized cardi, poncho or sweater but that can also mean loosing your body shape under the layers....which is fine if you are going for a super casual look. If you want to emphasise your waist/look a little dressier, add a belt like this girl has. Oversized cardi/poncho: ASOS blanket wrap cardigan, Maison Scotch knit poncho vest, Thakoon Addition double layer jacket, Vero Moda Bold stripe knitted wrap poncho, Selected mohair oversized cardigan, Rag & Bone Bajwa blanket poncho, or Vince fringe cardigan

Scarf: Thakoon Addition floral camo printed scarf, Marc by Marc Jacobs graphic animal print scarf, or Topshop skull scarf

Over the Knee boots: Juicy Couture Morell Over the Knee boots, or Cobra Society Zeus Over the Knee boots

London Fashion Week AW 2012/2013

Somerset House, London, February 2012.

This is how we do in the UK right now.

It isn't terribly cold but crikey has it been wet! Rain, rain and more rain. I prefer to wear anything I can to protect myself from getting soaked without using an umbrella (there is nothing worse than getting your eye or head poked by someone wielding an enormous golf -sized umbrella on a busy city footpath) and a hooded coat or cape is an excellent alternative (with less likelihood of it being lost).

Recreate her cute look (kind of):

Rebecca Taylor boucle hooded coat, ASOS textured oversized cape coat, Marni hooded wool-felt jacket, Cooper &Stollbrand for ASOS hooded check coat or Marithe Francois Girbaud hooded coat

Marc by Marc Jacobs Ben stripe terry top, Rag & Bone/JEAN Sara top, Chinti and Parker striped top, or MiH jeans longwood striped top

London Fashion Week AW 2012...Camille

Camille from Over the Rainbow blog, Somerset House, London, February 2012.

Today's posts were also suppose to be inspiration looks you could wear on the weekend (adjusted for the weather of course!) for coffee with friends, trawling antique/car boot/food markets, brunch at a cafe or the movies  ...but since we are almost at the end of the weekend that idea is rather redundant ;) No matter, there is always next weekend!

p.s. If you need something to do this evening or next weekend, I absolutely loved, loved, loved Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom which was all shot on Super 16mm film. Brilliant.

London Fashion Week AW 2012...After Mulberry

After Mulberry, Claridge's Hotel, London, February 2012.

Some weekend hair and make-up inspiration for you courtesy of Karlina Caune, Nadine Ponce, Rose Smith, Sara Blomqvist and Monika Sawicka.

I think a version of these twists/plaits/braids would look pretty after a day at the beach (no need to blowdry!).
